Christmas Piano Recital

Monday, December 11th was a wintery evening, yet the LCS chapel was filled with the warmth of music and applause. Twenty-five of Mrs. Burr’s piano and voice students performed Christmas classics such as “Jingle Bells,” “O Christmas Tree,” “Away in a Manger” and “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” as they heralded in the Christmas season with songs of worship and celebration. The LCS students represented a wide range of experience levels. David Jenkins (3rd) explained, “walking on stage made me nervous, I played the piano so fast and had a lot of fun!” Ezekiel Lusenaka (8th) has been playing piano “since elementary school,” and mentioned that he was “grateful to his mom for always pushing him.” At the close of the recital, Mrs. Burr exclaimed, “I am so proud of these students!”
