Our society, at an ever-increasing rate, is departing from Christian values and standards that were commonplace only a generation ago. Rev. Randall S. Burr
Mr. Burr is a graduate (Cum Laude) from Liberty University. He is an ordained Baptist minister and has been in the ministry for more than twenty years. He served on the staff of Fellowship Baptist Church, Chesapeake (VA) before serving as the Senior Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, Savannah (GA) and then Decatur Heights Baptist Church, Bladensburg (MD). He currently serves as an Elder of Grace Brethren Church, Lanham (MD). In 2006 he joined the administrative team of LCS and became the Executive Director in 2010.
Ms. Vanessa Anchan
Ms. Anchan attended The University of Maryland, College Park where, in 2007, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. In 2018, she received a Masters of Education in Teaching and Learning with a concentration in Leadership. She has specialized in science throughout her academic and professional career and currently maintains her post as LCS’ high school chemistry teacher in addition to her administrative role. She is a youth ministry leader with over fifteen years of experience and in 2007 joined the LCS team.
Mrs. Lidia Beltré

Mrs. Beltré has been a part of Lanham Christian School for three years. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics from the University of Maryland. Mrs. Beltré served as a youth pastor for 15 years and is currently serving as the assistant pastor with her husband. She is passionate about educating and leading young people in their growth, development and faith in Jesus Christ.

Ms. Bowen earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Shaw University in Raleigh, NC. Later, she earned a master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland-Baltimore. She has a passion for working with children in various capacities. During her leisure time, you can find Ms. Bowen volunteering with the children’s ministry at her church.
Her favorite Bible verse is Proverbs: 4:7: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Ms. Alexia Constanza
Communications/Reception, 8th Grade History Teacher
Ms. Constanza attended LCS from kindergarten through 8th grade. After graduating from Elizabeth Seton High School, she attended James Madison University where she received a bachelor of arts in technical communication and creative writing. Starting in 2014, she published writing pieces through an online Hispanic based non-profit, a national Latina magazine, and the Latino Heritage Internship Program.
Currently, she volunteers with Mclean Bible Church Main Avenue’s audio and visual ministry and freelance designs resumes and other graphic materials for a diverse group of clients. She also edits video for the Primas Con Rizos Youtube channel.
One of her favorite Bible verses is Psalms 37:24: though (she) may stumble, (she) will not fall, for the LORD upholds (her) with his hand.
Ms. Keri Gallagher
I attended LCS from Kindergarten through 6th Grade. I earned my degree in Business Management from Strayer University. Before coming to LCS I worked in the banking industry for 10 years. I love to work with kids of all ages. During my time away from school I spend time with my daughter. One of my favorite verses is I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me Phil 4:13.
Mr. Raymond Green
Student Development Coordinator
Mr. Green is a graduate of Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. His role as the Student Support Coordinator entails engaging the students and their parents on several levels such as conduct, academic proficiency, leadership development and coaching students to college. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, weight lifting, cycling and running on the elliptical. He also volunteers with Mentoring to Manhood in Prince George’s County. His favorite Bible verses are Joshua 1:3 and Jeremiah 29:11-14.

Mrs. Stephanie Lee
Kindergarten 4 Teacher
Mrs. Lee has worked in Christian education for 18 years teaching both K4 and K5 students. This is her second year at Lanham Christian School. Before coming to LCS, Mrs. Lee taught at Odenton Christian School in Odenton, Md. In addition to teaching, she also works in her church’s nursery ministry and is involved in their ladies fellowship.
Ms. Elizabeth Byrd
Kindergarten 4 Teacher
Ms. Elizabeth Byrd graduated from Ferrum College with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Liberal Arts with minors in Elementary Education, History and English. She has 10 years classroom experience with the DOD and is certified in ESOL/ESL/EFL instruction. In her spare time she enjoys visiting historical sites such as battle fields or museums. Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 because it reminds her to not worry about the plan and trust that God has already forged the way.
Mrs. Michelle Alexander
Kindergarten 5 Teacher
Mrs. Alexander obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech & Communication Disorders with a Minor in Special Education from Howard University. She has also served for over a decade as an elementary teacher at Lanham Christian School. She teaches because “God has blessed me with a love for working with children”. Her philosophy is that every child can reach his or her fullest potential when provided the appropriate strategies and techniques that will allow them an equal opportunity to achieve their goals. Mrs. Alexander currently serves as a Teacher in the Little Lamb Ministry, a member of the Mass Choir, and Women of Rare Distinction Ministry. She also serves as a member of The Givers of Life Intercessory Prayer Ministry.

Mrs. Jenkins-Williams is a graduate of University of Maryland where she received her Bachelors of Arts in English. She earned her Educator Licensure through District of Columbia Public Schools where she has taught Pre K-1st grade. She is excited about joining the staff at Lanham this year and beginning her work as a Christian educator.
Mrs. Hazelann Ezell
First Grade Teacher
Hazelann Ezell, graduated “Magna Cum Laude”, from the University of the District of Columbia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development, and an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Child Development Associate’s Credential with Infants and Toddlers. Teaching is her passion; she has been working with children for the past 14 years in the following positions: Infant and Toddler Care Provider, School Registrar, Preschool teacher and mother. Her favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Mrs. Hybia McCain
First Grade Assistant/ Dance
Ms. McCain is a graduate of Salisbury University, where she obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science. This is her first year at Lanham Christian School and she hopes to be a blessing and a positive role model to students, just as so many of her teachers have been to her. Ms. McCain will be assisting in the 1st grade classroom, teaching Fine Arts, and coaching Varsity Volleyball and Cheerleading. Ms. McCain states her life philosophy as, “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.” She believes that when we put God first, success is imminent.
Ms. McCain has had the opportunity to work with youth in her former church for 3 years in teaching both Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She plans to start teaching in children’s church at her new church, Set The Captives Free Outreach Center, in the upcoming school year.
In her free time, Ms. McCain enjoys volunteering through organizations she is apart of, being in fellowship with her close friends and family, programming new exercise modalities, reading and traveling.
Mrs. Ophelia Richardson
Third Grade Teacher
Mrs. Ophelia Richardson graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD. She holds a B. S. degree in Business and completed the Education Courses at Prince George’s Community College. Her hobbies include traveling, card stamping, crocheting and doing International and Domestic Mission work that has included traveling to Ukraine, New York and Nanjamoy.
Her favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Mr. Steven Hill
Fourth Grade Teacher
Mr. Hill is a D.C. native. He came to trust Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the age of twelve. With over thirty years of ministry experience, he desires to serve the Lord with gladness. He was licensed to preach the gospel on March 23, 1979, at the Glendale Baptist Church in Washington D.C. and was later ordained as a minister of the Gospel on March 23, 1984.
He earned his B.A. in Biblical and Pastoral Studies in 1984 from the former Washington Bible College in Lanham, MD. He earned his M.A.C.E. (1987) and M.A.B.S. (1989) from the Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas. He has also served as an Associate Minister at the Glendale Baptist Church.
Mr. Hill assisted in the church plant and establishment of the New Song Bible Fellowship Church in Lanham, MD, where he now serves as the Associate Pastor and Director of the Children’s Ministry. He has been teaching in the private sector for a combined thirteen years. He enjoys teaching children both in the classroom and in a church children’s ministry.
Mrs. Tammie Harrison-Clark
Fifth Grade Teacher
Has over 20 years of teaching children, teens, and adults and has owned and operated a childcare center in Laurel, MD. She has earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement from Park University in Parkville, MO, Master of Arts in Professional Development Leadership from Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, TX, and Ed.S from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. She is also a registered Professionalism Ethics Trainer for the state of TX.
Currently she is enrolled in the Doctoral program at Liberty University and will receive an Ed.D in Educational Leadership in the fall of 2019. She attends Refreshing Spring Church of God in Christ in Riverdale, MD where she is a licensed missionary. In her spare time she loves to read, write, cook, make flower pendants, and travel. One of her favorite Bible verse is Matthew 19:26: with God, all things are possible.

Mrs. Melanie Boyce
6th – 12th Grade English Teacher
Mrs. Boyce has been a member of the LCS staff since 2008 and currently teaches middle school English and high school Honors English. She serves alongside her husband, Rev. James Boyce II in youth ministry at Trinity Assembly of God in Lanham, MD. She is a graduate of the University of Valley Forge with a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education.
Mrs. Sara Gonzalez
K4 – 12th Grade Spanish Teacher
Mrs. Gonzalez has a bachelor’s degree in Education from The University of Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico. She has been teaching Spanish in the United States for 20 years and at LCS for the past 17 years. Her passion is to teach the Spanish language to the future leaders of the world and so impact God’s purpose through language and understanding.
Mrs. Sheryl Mobley
Middle School Lead Teacher/ Middle School Science and History
Mrs. Mobley is a graduate of Bowie State University where she did completed her undergraduate and graduate work. She received her teaching credentials from Trinity College and is ACSI certified. She is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in both Christian and public schools. She loves teaching reading and bible study to both children and adults. She joined the LCS team in 2015.
Ms. Nicole Norris
7th Grade English, High School History, and Creative Writing Teacher
Ms. Norris is a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus in African-American history. A native of the Prince Georges County school system, she is a graduate of Duval High school. Ms. Norris has 10 years’ experience in teaching students in both Christian and Public Schools. Ms. Norris believes that teaching is a gift and is blessed to be able to work in her passion with the students of Lanham Christian School.

6th – 12th Grade Science & Math Teacher
Ms. Smith graduated Cum Laude from Bryan College in May 2015, with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a minor in Biblical Studies. She joined the LCS program in the 2015-2016 school year as a middle school and high school math and science teacher. Ms. Smith has served in Awana Clubs, for ten years with local churches both in Maryland and in Tennessee where she went to college.

K4 – 12th Grade Music & Physical Education Teacher
Mrs. Lee has been a part of the LCS Family since 2007. She has served in a variety of roles such as Dance Instructor, Volleyball Coach, Cheer Coach, and 11th and 12th grade sponsor. Mrs. Lee has a Musical Theater background and currently serves as the Music Program Coordinator. She also serves as the praise and worship leader and heads the Titus 2 Women’s Ministry at her church where her husband serves as Senior Pastor.
Mrs. Catherine McFarland
Catherine McFarland has 23 years of violin experience and 13 years study in the Suzuki method. For 6 years now she has been offering private music lessons to violinists and violists that address a variety of skills and abilities. She studied violin at university level and is currently the lead violinist at Bay Area Community Church. She has written and performed over 100 pieces of violin music in that capacity, as well as writing and performing the violin pieces for their 2017 Christmas EP.
Mrs. McFarland has played the violin since an early age, and competed at the local level with NAC for six years and national level at BNYC for four years. She was seated 4th in CYSO first violins, and competed at county and state level. She owns a studio in Severn, where she lives with her husband
