Ruth Owusu (1st – 12th Grade)

College Acceptances: Loyola University of Maryland

Scholarships Awarded: $25,000 in Presidential Scholarships

Life After LCS: Ruth plans on majoring in History with a minor in Education; later she looks to further her career towards becoming a College Professor.

Mia Turman (5th – 12th Grade)

College Acceptances: Towson University, Delaware State University, Radford University, Virginia State University, Lincoln University

Scholarships Awarded: $24,000 Scholarship to Radford University

Life After LCS: Mia plans on majoring in Physical Therapy

Life Verse: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”– Philippians 4:6-7


Alexandra Boyce (1st – 12th Grade)

College Acceptances: Bowie University and University of Valley Forge

Scholarships Awarded: $3,000 Performing Arts Scholarship to University of Valley Forge

Life After LCS: Alex plans on majoring in Music or Linguistics

Rakia Barnett (9th – 12th Grade)

College Acceptance: Philander Smith College, Bowie State University, Elizabeth City State, North Caroline Central University, University of Maryland- Eastern Shore, Delaware State

Life After LCS: Rakia plan on majoring in Criminal Justice

Life Verse: “God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.” – Psalm 46:5


Deborah Sawyerr (10th-12th Grade)

College Acceptance: Bowie State University, Coppin State University, Morgan State University

Life After LCS: Deborah plans on majoring in Nursing

Xiomara Villacorta (9th-12th Grade)

College Acceptance: Delaware State University

Life After LCS: Xiomara plans on majoring in Architecture

Jack Doumbia (10th – 12th Grade)

College Acceptance: Copping State, Brown University, Howard University, George Mason University

Life After LCS: Jack plans on majoring in Business

Caleb Sallee (11th – 12th Grade)

College Acceptance: Towson University, Regent University, Washington Adventist University, Morgan State University

Life After LCS: Caleb plans on majoring in Computer Science and minoring Creative Writing

Deven Dowdie (11th – 12th Grade)

College Acceptance: Bowie State University, University of Maryland- Eastern Shore, Mount St. Mary’s, Delaware State University, and Virginia Union University

Scholarships Awarded: $80,000 Leadership Scholarship to Mount St. Mary’s

Life After LCS: Deven plans on majoring in Criminal Justice

Zachary Carr (9th – 12th Grade)

College Acceptance: Prince George’s Community College

Life After LCS: Zachary plans on earning his AA in Mechanical Engineering, and then pursuing his Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering.

Life Verses: “…for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.” – Psalms 107:9


Joshua Green (9th – 12th Grade)

College Acceptance: Prince George’s Community College

Life After LCS: Joshua plans on earning his AA in Computer Science, and then pursue his Bachelor’s in Software Engineering.
