Students Building Community

For yet another holiday season, Lanham Christian students, parents, and faculty have made great strides in our mission to build community!

Every year, LC has three major Community Giving events which enables our students and families to show the love of Jesus Christ by meeting the needs of our brothers and sisters. This year, with the help of our student’s families, we were able to provide Thanksgiving baskets and turkeys for 15 families in the community; filled and shipped 50 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes for Samartian’s Purse; purchased gifts, such as dolls, toys and coats and bikes for 12 familes and their children to have an amazing Christmas; and volunteered at the Salvation Army’s Angel tree Sorting Facility. Additionally, we added more than 200 items to the Grace Church Food Pantry, and our Girls of Integrity performed at the Larkin Chase Center Retirement Home.

Building Community is an trait that is taught and practiced by all of our staff and teachers at Lanham Christian. It is always heartwarming to the administration to see the abundance of generosity that is displayed throughout the year from our parents and our students.
